MOUNT KENYA:

Mount Kenya is a broad, large symmetrical volcano cone whose diameter at the base is about 12 km it was formed between 2.6 and 3.1 million years ago by eruptions of successive layers of volcanic lava and agglomerate from a central vent in the earth surface. Mount Kenya is climbed at all times of year if possible however it is best to try to avoid the two rainy seasons that usually start in mid March and lasts through till mid June. As on any high mountain, proper equipment is vital for a safe and enjoyable climb.

Even with porters, climbers should carry some basic equipment with them at all times, including rain gear, spare jersey, water and first aid kit. High altitude problems are caused through the inability of the human body to adjust to a through various forms to the often more fatal pulmonary and cerebral oedemus (Hape and Hace) the later being less common. Young males seem to be most badly affected. There are three different route commonly used up the mountain i.e Sirimon, Naro Moru and Chogoria rute.rapid gain in Altitude problems range from mild cases of acute mountain sickness experienced to some extent by most climbers.

MOUNT KILIMANJARO CLIMB:

This is Africa's highest mountain and the most awesome sight. Snowcapped and not yet extinct, at (5895m / 91340ft), it is surrounded by rain forest and is home to many animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Leopards, and Monkeys. Monkeys and Elands are the only animals that can be seen at the summits of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. The snow-capped peak, the dream of scaling the summit, watching dawn break and gazing out over the vast African wildlife, plains and bushland is an experience not to be missed. Kilimanjaro can be trekked at any time of the year, however, there is usually a lot of rain during April, May and November which makes trekking even more challenging.Send us an emal to make a reservation
